Be Prepared!!

Prepare the answers to questions, which you could be asked. The following are examples, which may be useful.

• Why did you choose this particular industry?
• What are your career goals / operations?
• Why would you like to work for our company?
• How do you foresee your career developing over the next five years?
• What three words would you use to describe yourself and why?
• What are your major strengths / weaknesses?
• What are your interests?
• How do you feel you can help our company?
• If you were choosing someone for this job, what kind of person would you select?
• If you could have your choice of any job, what would you do?
• What do you expect in this job that you did not get from your previous jobs?
• How do you think that your education qualifies you for this position?
• What role could you play as part of a team?

Your answers should be positive, constructive, honest and relevant to the question.

Also, a lot of interviewers will ask questions that take you through situations that you may encounter in the position or that you experienced in previous jobs e.g.

• Give me an example of a time when, you were particularly helpful to a client?
• Describe a particularly stressful situation, how did you react?
  

Be prepared to talk constructively through the example, answering why, how, what you learnt from this and who it affected.
